Wegdam Vocational Institute and Technology – Freetown

For the socio-economic development of any society, women empowerment in the informal sector is equally essential.

Women empowerment means giving them freedom to willingly identify their skills, knowledge, abilities and make respected decisions in their societies.

Our Building resilient communities through women empowerment program gives a sense of internal strength to women and teenage mothers to enhance meaningful lives and hope restoration.

We help women to access the work market through skill training, vocational courses and referrals to job opportunities through a network of partners in the private sector.

The confident smile on the faces of women is the measurement of their empowerment.

The centre help train students in the designing and production of dignify reusable sanitary pads to help address menstrual issue
